    There are road construction projects planned for Highway 17 and Highway 129 in the Huron Shores area. These projects are expected to take a couple of years to complete and will consist of grading and resurfacing of Highway 17 between Iron Bridge and Nestorville, and Highway 129 North from Thessalon to Highway 554.     The annual Big Basswood Lake Association annual general meeting (AGM) will take place in-person on Friday, July 21, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. ET in person at Melwel Lodge. The BBLA board is also offering a virtual participation option via Zoom. All members are strongly encourgaged to attend the AGM, as you will receive detailed updates on the BBLA
    BBLA has been supporting and promoting Citizen Science initiatives on Big Basswood Lake for approximately 23 years. We continue to particpate actively in the FOCA Lake Partner Program has built a network of volunteers to sample water from over 550 lakes across Ontario. Testing includes phosphorus levels, calcium and water clarity which we submit
